Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders!
We value our youth as the future leaders of our church, community, state and
nation. Teaching our youth Christian life skills to meet the successes, challenges
and difficulties of daily living is the focus of the programs described in
this brochure. The world of tomorrow in which our youth will live, requires
that we prepare them not only with the abilities and skills they will need
to survive, but also with Christian values and principles by which to live
victoriously.
Youth Activities:
Sunday Night Youth Fellowship (SNYF): SNYF is designed to meet the needs of youth (6 th grade and up)! We will be guiding the youth towards a closer relationship to God. We are going to be building relationships with each other that will last a lifetime! WE HAVE LOTS OF FUN, TOO! Come and share this meaningful experience! It’s never too late to join us!! SNYF meets Sunday nights from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Come and bring your friends! Please call the church if you are intrested, 693-2071.

Cell Phone Collections: SNYF has been blessed with the opportunity to partner with a company that collects used and unwanted cell phones. We know you must have a few of these around the house, right? Please place your phone in the drop box located in the Narthex. We will be collecting the phones all year! May God bless you all for your continued support and encouragement!
Young Disciples:
Young Disciples, 1st through 5th graders, meet on Wednesday afternoons during
the school year from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. We focus on developing Christian character
and learning to be more Christ-like in our lives including worship skills
and mission service. It is an intensive interaction of child and adult through
a balanced program of play and study. It is a fun-time for children and leaders
as we learn how to live as disciples of Jesus. Come and visit this group
some Wednesday.
Sunday School Classes Available
Our classes are offered from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m.
The following classes are offered here at FPC:
Nursery, Child Care Givers Iris Keeley (and others ) :Upon arrival at any of the two worship services and Sunday School, the children have a period of play time. After approximately forty minutes of play time we clean up and have snack time. Once snack time is finished, the older children will get a mat and sit down for a Bible lesson. These lessons are from the Beginners Bible or a “Dear God” story. They are also given a coloring book that Ms. Iris puts together for each of them to do until it is time for them to leave. The agenda changes at times during particular holidays where the children complete a craft that replaces coloring in their book. The Nursery is located off of the Upper Fellowship Hall, second classroom on the right.

Pre K 3 and 4 yr old class, taught by Karen Bridges, Lanell Jarvis, Kim Robins, and Melissa Yard, : Each child in this class is a “one-of-a-kind” child of God. Here we celebrate the uniqueness of each child. Yet all of these “one-of-a-kind” children share common needs. All children need love, a sense of self-worth, a sense of accomplishment, a safe place to express their feelings, surrounded by adults who love them, and to experience the love of God. These children will find all of those here. Live B.I.G. helps children see, hear, and live their B elief in G od. Short video segments bring faith-filled, high-energy excitement to your children with characters who model B.I.G. behavior, travel segments featuring B.I.G. ministries by everyday B.I.G. people, cool music for your kids’ ears, and more! This class is located on the Christian Education Floor, second classroom on the left.

Faith Village – Sunday School for K – 5 th grade

At 10:10 they move to their “Small Group” of either K-2 or 3-5. In “Small Group” students are led through a craft or activity that reinforces the Bible lesson and then a discussion about how they can apply the Bible lesson to their own lives. High School Class, taught by Chuck Bridges and Mike Kenyon : This class is open to 9 th – 12 th grade students. We deal mostly with real life application of God’s Word, and, as in life, you never know what to expect when you walk in. We use video, audio, drama, object lessons, and anything else we can find, as we try to illustrate what they are up against, being a Christian in the real world. The students describe this class as spontaneous, energetic and fun! The leaders describe it as somewhere between a warm kitty and a roller coaster. This class meets on the Christian Education floor, first classroom on the left.
