Worship Committee
:

WORSHIP is a standing committee of the Session and is chaired by Elder David O'Neil. Its stated purpose, along with the Pastor, is to be responsible for the service of worship in all its aspects, and to provide the elements of worship necessary to meet the Standards of Christian Worship as stated in the Book of Order, W-1.1001.

The Worship Committee offers many opportunities for participation and volunteer service. Some of these include:

Provide flowers for the sanctuary
Serve as a Lay Leader during worship services
Preparation of the Sacrament of Communion on designated occasions
Serve as Ushers for worship services
Serve as an Advent Candle Lighter/Reader during Advent Season
Decorate the church and sanctuary during the Christmas and Easter seasons
Arrange for special worship services during Lent and Easter as well as Advent and Christmas
Volunteer in the nursery
Baptism arrangements
Weddings and Funerals/Memorial Services

Acolyte Program:
Acolytes serve the church by lighting candles at the beginning of each worship service and extinguishing the candles at the conclusion of each service. Youth between the ages of second grade and sixth grade are eligible for training and participation in the program. Contact Rebecca Priode for more information.

If you would like to be involved in the planning and carrying out of any aspect of Worship, we can use your talents to the glory of God. Please contact the church office.
