Week of May 11, 2008

The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, May 18, at 12:00 for the following purposes:   

 - To inform the congregation of construction contract change orders    - To request that the congregation consider and approve the plan to renovate the Upper Fellowship Hall following the completion of the new construction

    - To elect Godwin Jones to fill an Elder vacancy through the end of 2008 and Sue Silberhorn to fill a Deacon vacancy through the end of 2008.

 

Stephen Ministry:Stephen Ministers Care! Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who receive special training to provide one-on-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community who are experiencing grief, loneliness, divorce, hospitalization, disability, job loss, and many other life difficulties. To learn how to become-or receive care from-a Stephen Minister, talk to a pastor or Stephen Leader.

* Reminder: Next Sunday we will collect Nickel-A-Meal monies. This is an on-going mission offering that will be collected the third Sunday of every month.

Play Ball! Our Church Soft Ball team will have their first game this Friday evening at Gloucester High School. The game is scheduled for 8:30. Come out and play or just to show your support. If you are interested in playing call Korin Hall at 725-3866.

Kimberly’s Korner

Ladies!

We are hoping to offer a Ladies’ Bible Study this summer for ages teen and beyond! If you would be interested in attending this once a week study and fellowship with the girls, please let Kimberly know. We will offer child care as needed. The time is currently scheduled for Thursdays at 6:00 pm beginning late June.
